NIPR Chapter Support and Development Chairman Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh has commended the Adamawa State Chapter for its preparations for the 2026 World Public Relations Forum in Abuja, as the chapter intensifies stakeholder engagement and mobilisation ahead of the international event.

The Chairman of Chapter Support and Development of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh, has commended the Adamawa State Chapter for its preparations for the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026 in Abuja.

Sajoh, who is also a member of the NIPR Governing Council, made the commendation during a visit to the chapter in Yola to assess its level of readiness and mobilisation for the international gathering of public relations and communication professionals.

The forum is scheduled to take place in Abuja from November 15 to 21, 2026, under the theme, “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World.”

According to a statement issued by the chapter’s Public Relations Officer, Shehu Usman Aliyu, Sajoh urged Adamawa to build on its reputation within the institute by ensuring active participation and strong representation at the event.

“Adamawa has always been a shining light. I want us to not just participate but to make a statement that will uplift the image of our state in the comity of NIPR chapters,” Sajoh was quoted as saying.

The WPRF 2026 is expected to bring together communication professionals, policymakers, academics and other stakeholders to discuss the role of responsible communication in building trust, promoting ethical leadership and supporting sustainable development.

Receiving the NIPR council member, the Adamawa State Chapter Chairman, Dr. Usman Ahmad Dadah, expressed appreciation for Sajoh’s representation of the chapter’s interests at the national level.

Dadah commended his guidance and support, noting his contributions to advancing the interests of both the institute and the Adamawa chapter.

On preparations for the WPRF, Dadah disclosed that the chapter had commenced extensive consultations and awareness campaigns to mobilise key stakeholders for participation in the forum.

He said the chapter was engaging relevant individuals and institutions to encourage broad participation and ensure that Adamawa makes a meaningful contribution to the international event.

The chapter’s mobilisation drive aligns with the objectives of the WPRF, which seeks to strengthen professional collaboration and advance responsible communication practices across countries and institutions.

Dadah also disclosed that the Adamawa chapter was working closely with the state government to facilitate the investiture of the governor as a patron of the institute.

The chapter is also preparing to host the 2026 Sam Epelle Annual Memorial Lecture in the state.

He said the planned activities form part of the chapter’s efforts to strengthen relations with the state government and promote the public relations profession in Adamawa.

Dadah thanked Sajoh for his mentorship, guidance and continued support, expressing confidence that the collaboration would help the chapter achieve its objectives.

The 2026 World Public Relations Forum is being organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management and hosted by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

The gathering will focus on responsible communication and its importance in strengthening trust, encouraging ethical leadership, addressing misinformation and fostering cooperation across societies.

The event will also coincide with the 37th African Public Relations Association Conference, bringing together regional and international communication stakeholders in Nigeria.

For the Adamawa State Chapter, the preparations provide an opportunity to strengthen professional networks, increase stakeholder participation and showcase the state’s contribution to the public relations industry.
