U.S.-based academic Prof. Favour Ayodele has formally declared his intention to seek the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) 2027 presidential nomination, presenting his “Ethicology of Governance” framework to party founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam.
In a significant political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, U.S.-based Nigerian academic and global leadership expert Prof. Favour Ayodele officially declared his intention on Friday, July 24, 2026, to seek the presidential nomination of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Announcing his candidacy during a high-level consultation with NNPP founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam in Lagos, the Ondo State-born scholar presented his campaign platform, titled “Favour 2027,” positioning it as an ideological movement designed to deliver indigenous, common-sense solutions to Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.
Prof. Ayodele, who serves as the Global Executive Chairman of VisionAfric and holds a professorship in Management and Global Leadership from the Pontifical Antonianum University in Rome, previously pursued presidential ambitions under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) during the 2019 and 2023 electoral cycles.
Unveiling his governance blueprint—termed the “Ethicology of Governance”—Prof. Ayodele emphasized that his campaign offers an uncompromising approach to national emancipation, promising an inclusive administration focused on security, institutional accountability, and economic revitalization.
Addressing internal party dynamics, the presidential aspirant acknowledged past friction between the NNPP leadership and its 2023 presidential flagbearer, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, assuring party elders of his commitment to party discipline and structural stability.
In his response, NNPP founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam confirmed that two other aspirants are currently vying for the party’s ticket, reiterating that the party has instituted a rigorous selection process to ensure credible leadership ahead of the National Working Committee’s upcoming deliberations.
