Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday, commending his contributions to national development and describing him as a disciplined leader whose personal example continues to inspire many Nigerians.
The goodwill message was conveyed in a statement issued on Sunday in Enugu by the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, on behalf of the organisation’s President-General, Senator John Azuta Mbata, and the Global Executive Committee (GEC).
According to the statement, Obi has distinguished himself through diligence, discipline, enterprise and an enduring commitment to public service throughout his career.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation said the former Governor of Anambra State has earned widespread respect for his prudent leadership, integrity, philanthropy and unwavering commitment to the common good.
Ohanaeze noted that Obi’s personal example continues to inspire many Nigerians, particularly young people, to embrace excellence, hard work, accountability and selfless service.
The organisation further described Obi as a proud son of Alaigbo whose accomplishments have projected the values traditionally associated with the Igbo nation, including industry, resilience, innovation, integrity and respect for human dignity.
It also commended his commitment to peace, national unity and the advancement of humanity.
Offering prayers for the former Anambra governor, Ohanaeze wished him many more years of good health, renewed strength, divine wisdom and greater fulfilment in his continued service to humanity.
“Happy 65th Birthday, Your Excellency. May God continue to bless and keep you,” the organisation said.
