MTN Nigeria Commends MEDL for Improved Power Supply in Enugu
MTN Nigeria has commended MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) for the significant improvement in power supply to customers in Enugu State, a development that has enabled the telecoms company to record up to 338 hours of uninterrupted electricity in its operations.
The commendation was disclosed in Enugu by the Head of Communications at MEDL, Mr Emeka Ezeh.
According to Ezeh, the praise came from the Specialist, Power System Operations (East) at MTN Nigeria, Mr Peter Yakubu, who described the improvement in service quality as a major milestone with positive operational impact.
“Thank you for recording another 338 hours of uninterrupted power supply. This is another milestone. We sincerely appreciate your efforts in maintaining consistency and excellence. Your continued commitment does not go unnoticed,” Yakubu said.
Ezeh noted that the commendation reflects MEDL’s broader vision to deliver uninterrupted and sustainable electricity to households, businesses and institutions across Enugu State.
He said the company believes reliable power supply is a key driver of economic growth, social development and improved quality of life for residents of the state.
Ezeh further assured customers that MEDL remains committed to achieving its target of 24-hour electricity supply across major urban centres and commercial hubs in Enugu State by 2027, while calling for continued public cooperation and support.
MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited is a subsidiary of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) Plc and is licensed by the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) to distribute electricity within the state.
