Governor Fubara Calls for Peace, Unity, and Progress in Christmas Messag

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the people of Rivers State and Nigerians at large, urging all to embrace peace, unity, and love during the festive season and beyond.

In his Christmas message delivered at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, Governor Fubara congratulated Christians across Rivers State and the nation as they join the global community in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The statement, issued by Nelson Chukwudi, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, called for reflection, prayer, and renewed commitment to fostering a harmonious and progressive society.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Rivers State, I congratulate all Christians in our state and across the country as they celebrate this year’s Christmas,” the Governor said. “As we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, let us reflect on His virtues of love, humility, and selfless service. These values are vital in promoting harmony, mutual respect, and progress in our communities.”

Governor Fubara emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence, particularly in tackling the nation’s pressing economic and security challenges. He encouraged citizens to set aside differences and embrace unity, noting that such solidarity is essential for attracting investments and accelerating development.

Highlighting his administration’s commitment to the welfare of the people, the Governor reiterated ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic opportunities in the state. “We are steadfast in our mission to build a stronger Rivers State by delivering impactful projects, creating jobs, and improving the living standards of our citizens. Our goal is to make Rivers State a hub of development and prosperity,” he said.

Governor Fubara expressed optimism about the year ahead, assuring the people that 2025 would bring renewed opportunities and fulfillment. “With God’s guidance and our collective efforts, 2025 will be a year of greater accomplishments for our state and our nation.
