The people of Isuofia community in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State have donated N200 million in re-election support for their son, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
The donation was made during a grand homecoming ceremony to welcome Soludo, who returned to his hometown to rally support for his second term bid under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Speaking at the event, the President-General of the Isuofia People’s Movement, Mr. Fidelis Okafor, said the re-election support was a collective effort to ensure Soludo’s victory at the polls.
“As our son, Governor Soludo has always been accessible and responsive to the needs of our people. His leadership style and grassroots policies have transformed Anambra and brought pride to our community,” Okafor said.
Another community leader, Mr. Ifeanyi Ifemelu, said that the governor’s people-centered approach had improved lives across the state, noting that a second term was vital to consolidate the gains made so far.
Chief Evarist Ubah also praised Soludo’s achievements, describing him as a visionary leader with an unwavering commitment to the development of Anambra. He urged residents to re-elect Soludo and sustain the progress recorded.
In his response, Governor Soludo expressed deep appreciation for the re-election support, commending his kinsmen for their solidarity and trust. He urged the people to come out en masse to vote for APGA on November 8.
“Across Anambra, they call us the consensus choice, but your vote is your voice. On Election Day, make that voice count,” Soludo said.
He highlighted his administration’s accomplishments in infrastructure, free education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, noting that continuity would ensure more transformative projects.
