Enugu APC Congress has drawn widespread commendation following the peaceful conduct of local government party elections across the state.
The All Progressives Congress national panel and Peter Mbah praised party faithful for demonstrating unity, consensus, and internal democracy during the exercise.
At Amagunze in Nkanu East LGA, Chairman of the APC National Panel for Ward and Local Government Congresses in Enugu State, Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, described the process as transparent and exemplary, urging other states to emulate the model.
Governor Mbah commended party leaders and delegates for embracing consensus, noting that reports from the 17 LGAs showed similar harmony. He said unity remained essential for sustainable development and effective grassroots governance.
Nkanu East Leadership Recognised
The Governor was received by the Nkanu East Council Chairman, Okechukwu Edeh, whose coordination was credited with ensuring a calm and orderly atmosphere. Party stakeholders pointed to structured engagement and disciplined mobilization as key factors behind the smooth conduct.
Nkanu West Chairman Commended

Earlier in Agbani, venue of the Nkanu West congress, the Governor praised the Executive Chairman, John Ogbodo, for fostering cohesion among party leaders and delegates. The peaceful proceedings, observers said, reflected stable grassroots leadership.
Political analysts note that the Enugu APC Congress reinforces a growing culture of internal democracy built on consensus and structured coordination at the local government level.
