Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, is set to unveil the As Tinubu and Mbah Move (ATM) political movement ahead of the 2027 elections, unveiling 17 branded Toyota buses to support grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah.

Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, is set to unveil a grassroots political mobilisation movement, As Tinubu and Mbah Move (ATM), to support the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah in 2027.

The minister also unveiled 17 branded Toyota buses to strengthen the movement’s grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Udeh disclosed the plans during a strategy meeting held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the ATM secretariat, where members discussed preparations for the movement’s official unveiling and the establishment of its operational structures.

Addressing members, the minister expressed confidence in the electoral prospects of President Tinubu and Governor Mbah, urging supporters to intensify their efforts towards securing victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in the presidential and governorship elections.

The minister said the 17 Toyota buses were provided to ease transportation and strengthen the movement’s presence across communities, wards and polling units.

He challenged members to distinguish ATM from conventional political groups by focusing on measurable grassroots activities rather than public declarations of support.

“I want this group to be different so that it will not end in noise-making. The aim is to make APC win from top to bottom, especially the President and the Governor,” Udeh said.

He urged members to take responsibility for electoral mobilisation within their respective communities, stressing that success at the polls depended largely on effective engagement at the ward and polling-unit levels.

“Politics is local. Everybody should work to ensure that APC wins in their respective wards and polling units,” he added.

Udeh reiterated his confidence in the re-election prospects of President Tinubu and Governor Mbah, describing grassroots mobilisation as a critical component of the movement’s strategy.

He explained that ATM was established to provide a platform for members to connect with political leaders and contribute to the activities of the APC.

According to the minister, the movement would also create opportunities for participants to engage government officials and seek assistance in addressing challenges affecting their communities.

Describing himself as someone who is not a career politician, Udeh said he valued integrity and fulfilling commitments in his relationships with people.

He also pledged to spend more time in the South-East during the campaign period to coordinate the movement’s activities and strengthen its presence across the region.

Earlier, ATM Coordinator, Igboke Onyebuchi, said the strategy meeting was convened to establish and ratify the movement’s structures ahead of the planned commencement of local government-level mobilisation in November.

Onyebuchi described ATM as a political movement rather than an ordinary support group, explaining that some members were motivated by their desire to support Governor Mbah and acknowledge his role in Udeh’s appointment as a minister.

“We are doing this to support the governor for giving such a smart young person the opportunity to be a minister. This has not happened in recent times,” Onyebuchi said.

He noted that the movement comprised community mobilisers, union leaders and individuals from the civic space, including people who were not professional politicians but were willing to participate in the political process.

The ATM coordinator said the movement intended to adopt an innovative, community-based approach to political mobilisation, with particular attention to rural communities and the strengthening of existing APC grassroots structures.

He disclosed that a community map had been developed to guide the movement’s engagement with residents and improve its mobilisation efforts.

Onyebuchi expressed appreciation to Udeh for creating a platform through which members could participate in political activities and contribute to the movement’s objectives.

He added that ATM hoped to promote greater opportunities for young people with strong professional and intellectual backgrounds to participate in politics.

With its planned official unveiling, 17 branded Toyota buses and proposed local government mobilisation drive, ATM is positioning itself as a grassroots support platform for Tinubu and Mbah ahead of the 2027 elections.
