DJAN Enugu has disowned the purported endorsement of political candidates by a group known as Enugu DJs Alliance, reaffirming its non-partisan position ahead of 2027.

The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN), Enugu State Chapter, has distanced itself from the purported endorsement of political candidates by a group identified as the “Enugu DJs Alliance.”

DJAN said it remained a non-partisan professional organisation and had not endorsed, adopted or declared support for any political candidate or party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The association stated this in a disclaimer issued on Monday in Enugu and signed by the Chairman of its Disciplinary Committee, DJ ErnESTYNO, and the committee’s Secretary, DJ Kings.

According to the association, its attention was drawn to news reports and photographs circulating in the media showing a group of DJs, reportedly operating as the “Enugu DJs Alliance,” endorsing political candidates.

“DJAN, Enugu, which is the duly recognised DJs in the state, is a non-partisan organisation and does not meddle in political affairs,” the association said.

It stressed that the group involved in the reported political endorsement was neither affiliated with nor connected to DJAN Enugu State Chapter.

DJAN further reaffirmed that it does not belong to, support or identify with any political party.

The association said it had neither endorsed nor adopted any candidate contesting for political office at the local, state or federal level.

It warned that any statement, publication, campaign, endorsement or political activity suggesting that DJAN Enugu had declared support for a political candidate or political party should not be regarded as its official position.

DJAN also cautioned its members to clearly distinguish between their personal political opinions and activities and the official position of the association.

The group urged politicians and members of the public to exercise caution when dealing with organisations presenting themselves as representatives of DJs in Enugu State while making promises of political support.

DJAN Enugu State Chapter said it would continue to uphold neutrality, unity and its professional objectives without partisan political affiliation.
