Attack on Naridon Village in Kaduna State that left about 30 residents dead has been strongly condemned by President Bola Tinubu, who directed security agencies to intensify operations and bring the perpetrators to justice.
ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has strongly condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing it as a barbaric and cowardly assault on innocent civilians. The attack occurred in the early hours of Monday and claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children, while several homes were set ablaze.
Describing the incident as an unprovoked act of terror against defenceless citizens, President Tinubu said those responsible would be brought to justice.
He warned that criminal elements seeking to undermine the peace and improved security recorded in Kaduna State in recent times would not escape punishment.
The President disclosed that he had directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify security operations across the affected communities.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.
President Tinubu extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government and the people of the state.
He assured the affected communities that the Federal Government stands with them during the period of mourning and remains committed to addressing security challenges across the country.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s determination to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture by improving operational capacity and dismantling criminal networks.
“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he said.
President Tinubu also appealed to residents to support security agencies by providing timely and credible intelligence that would enable early intervention and help prevent future attacks.
