The Youth Wing of the Nigeria Democratic Congress in Enugu State passes a vote of confidence on State Chairman Ibuchukwu Obetta, urging internal cohesion ahead of 2027.

The Youth Wing of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State has formally passed a vote of confidence on its State Chairman, Mr. Ibuchukwu Obetta, declaring him the sole authentic and recognized leader of the party structure in the state.

The declaration was made by the State NDC Youth Coordinator, Mr. Jideofor Ude, during a press briefing in Enugu as part of efforts to reinforce internal stability and accelerate party expansion ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on behalf of the youth executive, Mr. Ude commended Chairman Obetta’s administrative track record, noting that his leadership has demonstrated the strategic vision and organizational capacity required to reposition the party as a dominant political force in Enugu State.

He emphasized that Mr. Obetta remains the only state chairman validated by the party’s National Working Committee, dismissing parallel structures or dissenting factions as unauthorized groups lacking institutional backing.

The youth coordinator strongly criticized individuals attempting to set up alternative leadership organs, pointing out that such factional maneuvers serve only to undermine internal cohesion at a critical period of party growth.

He assured members that the youth wing maintains an active and coordinated presence across all seventeen local government areas of Enugu State, driving massive grassroots engagement in support of the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, alongside all other candidates who secured tickets through official party primaries.

In a direct call for administrative alignment, Mr. Ude urged all aggrieved party stakeholders and candidates to set aside personal grievances and prioritize collective organizational goals. He stressed that organizational unity remains the party’s most powerful strategy to challenge the ruling party effectively and achieve electoral victory in upcoming polls.

Concluding his address, he lauded the leadership of NDC National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, for restoring confidence across the national membership while inviting young people throughout Enugu State to join the party’s ongoing mobilization initiatives.
