A trader, Alhaji Mustapha Musa, has been killed by suspected robbery attackers who invaded his home in Suleja, Niger State, in a violent midnight assault that left his family in shock.

A trader, Alhaji Mustapha Musa, has been stabbed to death by suspected robbers who invaded his residence behind Niger Motel in Suleja, Niger State.

A police report obtained on Monday confirmed that the attack occurred at about 3:00 a.m. on Sunday at the victim’s home, after the assailants forced their way into the compound.

According to the report, the attackers stabbed the victim and made away with his mobile phones and motorcycle before escaping the scene.

The incident was reported at the A Division Police Station in Suleja, after which operatives visited the location and evacuated the body to the General Hospital, Suleja.

The deceased, a trader at the Babangida Modern Market in Suleja, is survived by three wives and 11 children.

Family members described the attack as sudden and brutal, with one of his wives, Amina Mohammed, saying she heard her husband cry out for help before the house went silent.

The second wife, who was reportedly in the room where the attack occurred, was later hospitalised following the incident.

A relative, Jamila Usman, said three men entered the house during the attack, adding that the victim initially offered them money before the situation escalated violently.

She said the attackers refused the offer and proceeded to attack him before confirming his death.

The assailants also reportedly stole mobile phones, an ATM card, and the victim’s motorcycle before leaving the scene.

Police authorities said investigations are ongoing to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
