A divorced woman, Oluwasobunmi Opeyemi, has approached an Upper Customary Court sitting on Daura Road, Kaduna, seeking assistance to recover household items from her former husband, Adeyinka Ademola.

The matter came up on Wednesday, with Opeyemi presenting a detailed list of items she requested the court to help retrieve. The items included a refrigerator, a freezer, two standing fans, two inverters, two gas cylinders, assorted store gifts, and two beds meant for their children.

During the proceedings, Ademola initially objected to releasing the inverters, claiming ownership of the equipment. However, he later withdrew his objection and agreed to return all the items listed by his former wife.

“I don’t want to argue. I want us to do this in a respectful manner; she can take everything,” he told the court.

Presiding Judge, Patience Musa, subsequently ordered the immediate packing and release of the items, directing that the process be carried out under the supervision of court officials to ensure compliance and order.
