JOS, Oct. 3, 2025 – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday, October 4, pay a working visit to Plateau State, where he is scheduled to attend the funeral prayers in honour of Nana Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, the late mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Professor Nantewe Yilwatda Goshwe.

According to a statement released by the Presidency, the President will join political leaders, family members, and sympathisers at the solemn event in Jos, the Plateau State capital, to pay his respects to the late matriarch, who is being remembered for her strong values and contributions to her community.

After the funeral prayers, President Tinubu will engage with church leaders from across Northern Nigeria at the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Jos. The meeting underscores his commitment to promoting dialogue, peace, and national unity across religious and political divides.

State House officials noted that the President’s meeting with Christian leaders is expected to focus on strengthening collaboration between government and faith-based organisations in addressing challenges facing communities in the North.

President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Lagos later in the day after completing his engagements in Plateau State. GMTNewsng
