Police Rescue Five Abducted Children in Adamawa, Launch Manhunt for Suspect

The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued five abducted children suspected to have been taken from Maiduguri, Borno State, and transported to Mubi town, Adamawa State.
How the Children Were Rescued
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed the development in a statement on Sunday in Yola.
He explained that on Saturday, Sept. 13, the Area Commander in Mubi, ACP Marcos Mancha, acting on credible intelligence, led his team to intercept the five children who were found wandering the streets of Mubi town.
Identities of the Rescued Victims
Nguroje identified the rescued children as Adamu Musa Fosters, Suleiman Idris (10 years), Suleiman Mohammed (11 years), Dauda Yahaya (11 years), and Mohammed Alhassan (11 years), all residents of Gwange Ward, Maiduguri.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were unlawfully taken from Maiduguri by one Aliga Suleiman of Sabon Layi, Gwange, Maiduguri, who is currently on the run.
Police Vow to Arrest Suspect
Nguroje confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend the prime suspect and bring him to justice.
He also recalled that the Command had earlier, on July 13, rescued 13 abducted children, who were later reunited with their families.
Commissioner of Police Reassures Residents
The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended ACP Mancha and his team for their swift intervention.
