The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the abduction of 25 students from the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The attack also resulted in the killing of the school’s Vice Principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku.

In a statement released in Abuja, National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong described the abduction as a tragic reminder of Nigeria’s worsening insecurity. He extended condolences to the parents of the abducted students, the family of the slain educator, the school’s management, staff, students and the Kebbi State Government.

Ememobong noted that this latest abduction adds to similar incidents recently recorded in Nasarawa, Plateau, Kano and Katsina, stressing the urgent need for decisive government action.

He insisted that government authorities must take full responsibility and confront the escalating threats head-on, warning that the cycle of abduction and killings must not continue.

The PDP spokesman urged the Federal Government to prioritise security, safeguard citizens and address the root causes of the persistent abduction crisis across the country.

He added that Nigeria should not wait for pressure or threats from foreign nations before acting, declaring: “Let the killings stop!”
