The people of Onyoho Nike in Enugu East Local Government Area have expressed appreciation to Governor Peter Mbah for his commitment to rural development, describing his intervention in the community as a historic milestone.
In a statement issued in Enugu on Monday, the President-General of the Onyoho Nike Town Union, Hon. Uchenna Nnamani, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees/Holders of Power of Attorney, Engr. Paschal Agbo, commended the governor for personally visiting the community to assess its development needs and initiating projects to address them in line with his inclusive governance model.
“We, the entire good people of Onyoho Nike community, wish to express our profound gratitude to the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Mbah, for his historic visit to our community and for his pledge to unlock the full potential of Onyoho through multiple infrastructural interventions, such as the construction of Nike Lake–Enugu East LGA Headquarters–Onyoho Nike–Awhum Waterfall Road, a Type 2 Health Centre, potable water supply, and the installation of solar street lights,” the statement read.
The community also lauded the Enugu East Council Chairman, Pastor Engr. Beloved Dan Anike, for his developmental efforts, particularly his contribution to improving electricity supply.
“We also appreciate His Excellency for the gift of Pastor Engr. Beloved Dan Anike as the Chairman of Enugu East LGA. This Council Chairman also blessed Onyoho Nike community with a 500kVA transformer within three months in office,” the statement added.
Additionally, the community acknowledged the good working relationship between Governor Mbah and their representative in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Osita Okoh, attributing the legislator’s achievements to the support and cooperation he enjoys from the state government.
“Indeed, the community is very proud of the giant strides of the House Member, and this can also be attributed to the good relationship that exists between him and our dear Governor,” they stated.
Reaffirming their support for Governor Mbah’s administration, the people of Onyoho Nike praised his leadership style and prayed for divine wisdom and grace to sustain his developmental agenda across the state. GMTNewsng
