Governor Fubara Applauds Senator Mbata’s Election as Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide President-Genera

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has congratulated Senator John Azuta Mbata on his election as the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. Senator Mbata, a former lawmaker representing Rivers East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, was elected in Enugu on Friday. Governor Fubara described the victory as a clear reflection of Mbata’s broad acceptance and exemplary character.
In a statement issued by Nelson Chukwudi, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Friday, January 10, 2025, Governor Fubara remarked, “Senator Mbata’s overwhelming support at the polls demonstrates the implicit confidence that members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide have in his leadership capabilities.”
Senator John Azuta Mbata is a seasoned politician and public servant with a distinguished career in both legislative and community service. He served as the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District and has been actively involved in various socio-political initiatives aimed at fostering unity and development within the Igbo community and beyond.
