Peter Mbah Campaign Organization has announced the postponement of the planned unveiling of the Enugu State PDP Governorship candidate, Peter Mbah’s Manifesto.
The unveiling was scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 30, at the Godfrey Okoye, GO University auditorium, Thinkers’ Corner Enugu.
According to a statement by the Campaign Organization, the decision for the postponement was arrived at after a review of the Electoral Act by their legal team. “The decision came after a review of the Electoral Act and INEC Guidelines for 2023 elections by our legal team”.
The statement which regretted the inconveniences the postponement might cause “our guests, party faithful and supporters”, said that a new date will be communicated later.
The statement reads: “The Peter Mbah Campaign Organization wishes to inform all our invited guests and the general public, that the scheduled Unveiling of Manifesto by Mr. Peter Mbah, Enugu State PDP gubernatorial candidate, planned for 30th June 2022 , has been stepped down for a later date. The decision came after a review of the Electoral Act and INEC Guidelines for 2023 elections by our legal team. The team advised that the scheduled event may be interpreted to be a violation of both the Act and the Guidelines, hence, the decision to discontinue the unveiling event. A new date that aligns with both the Act, and the Guidelines will be communicated later. We regret the inconveniences this may cause our invited guests, party faithful and supporters.
