Men who could not be immediately identified have partially disrupted election activities at Community Central School Akpugo in Nkanu West LGA of Enugu State.

The unidentified gunmen who snatched the operational vehicle of the state owned broadcast station, ESBS, at Amodu axis of Nkanu West LGA are said to have injured and killed uncertain number of persons.

At polling Centres in Amodu and Community Central School Akpugo, the gunmen sacked ENSIEC adhoc personnel, and set two vehicles ablaze at Community Central School (around Oriemba) in Akpugo.

Speaking to GMTNews on telephone, the Managing Director of Enugu State Broadcasting Service, Ogbuefi Chukwuma Ogbonna confirmed that operational vehicle of his office News crew covering the election was snatched from them, the driver and reporter injured, and are currently at an hospital in Enugu.

Also speaking on condition of anonymity, a senior staff of ESBS told GMTNews that the camera man of their station, Mr. Monday Ogbodo who was among the crew was still missing and his phone number not connecting, as at press time.

Meanwhile, it was reported that some vehicles in the residence of a prominent politician and federal lawmaker, including part of his compound were torched.

Our correspondent reports that similar incidents happened in Aninri LGA where a house said to belong to the PDP Chairmanship candidate in the election was burnt. GMTNews
