Sterling attributes of the Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, especially in the area of security of lives and property of the people and residents of the State was yet again brought to the fore during the familiarization visit to Nkanu-West Local Government Headquarters, by the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Abubakar Lawal.

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu-West Local Government Council, Sir Nwabueze Nnamani who revealed this while playing host to CP Abubakar in his office at Agbani, commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his undaunted efforts in making Enugu State the safest and most peaceful in Nigeria.

Speaking further, the Council Boss reiterated his resolve to always follow the lead as provided by the Governor in the discharge of his duties as the Chief security officer of Nkanu-West LGA.

Nnamani said his Council is providing assistance (to the best of her ability) to the Police Area Command which is serving Awgu, Aninri, Nkanu-West and Nkanu-East LGAs.

He appealed to the Chairman not to relent in giving priority attention to security challenges in the Council area as may be experienced from time to time.

He also requested the Council Chairman to provide an office space for the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in the LGA.
