President Bola Tinubu has celebrated Lagos State Security Trust Fund CEO Ayodele Ogunsan on his 50th birthday, commending his contributions to security partnerships and public safety.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, on his 50th birthday.

In a birthday message issued on Tuesday, October 6, President Tinubu commended Ogunsan for his commitment to institution-building and his efforts to strengthen partnerships between government, the private sector and other stakeholders in support of security and development.

Tinubu also recognised Ogunsan’s service to Lagos State and his contribution to strengthening the state’s security architecture, public safety and public confidence through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund.

The LSSTF is a public-private partnership established in 2007 to help bridge critical resource and logistical gaps faced by security agencies in Lagos. The Fund mobilises support for security agencies, including equipment, logistics, infrastructure, training and other operational interventions.

Ogunsan became Executive Secretary/CEO of the Fund in October 2025 and has continued to oversee its engagement with security agencies and private-sector partners.

Under his leadership, the LSSTF has continued to provide operational support to security agencies. In January 2026, for instance, the Fund presented three operational vehicles to the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad, while subsequent interventions have included protective equipment for security personnel.

The President noted that before his appointment as Executive Secretary/CEO, Ogunsan served on the Board of Trustees of the LSSTF.

He has also held responsibilities in the community-safety and security sector, including serving as Chairman of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) in Lagos State and as Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

Tinubu commended Ogunsan for his dedication to strengthening security institutions and supporting efforts to protect lives and property.

The President further encouraged the celebrant to sustain his commitment to the security and development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

“As you mark this significant milestone, I urge you to sustain your dedication to the security and progress of Lagos State and Nigeria,” Tinubu said.

He wished Ogunsan many more years of good health, wisdom and fulfilment, as well as continued success in his service to humanity and the nation.
