President Bola Tinubu celebrates Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s birthday, praising the Adamawa governor’s remarkable leadership, infrastructure projects, peace-building initiatives and empowerment programmes.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on his birthday, commending his leadership, infrastructure development and efforts to promote peaceful coexistence in the state.
Tinubu’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by the State House on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The President joined the governor’s family, friends and associates in celebrating his birthday, describing him as an astute administrator and politician whose leadership has contributed to significant transformation in Adamawa State.
Fintiri previously held several leadership positions in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, including Speaker, before being elected governor in 2019. He secured re-election in 2023.
President Tinubu praised the governor’s people-centred leadership, infrastructure development drive and commitment to promoting dialogue and peaceful coexistence among the people of Adamawa.
He also commended Fintiri’s empowerment programmes for small-scale entrepreneurs, alongside initiatives aimed at advancing agriculture and youth development.
“I congratulate Fintiri on this special occasion. I admire his peace-building initiatives and efforts to give everyone in the state a voice,” the President said.
Tinubu described the governor as a formidable force in Adamawa politics and beyond, expressing confidence in his continued contributions to the state.
He wished Fintiri greater accomplishments and many more years in good health as he marked another year.
