The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, on Sunday led a high-level political sensitisation and consultation visit to Isigwe and Ovu-Orie Ugbawka Autonomous Communities, where residents and stakeholders declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and the All Progressives Congress (APC). The visit brought together prominent political leaders, including Senator Kelvin Chizoba Chukwu, Hon. Paty Okoh, who represented the Member representing Nkanu East State Constituency Hon. Okey Mbah, and Hon. Mike Ogbuekwe, the APC Chairmanship candidate of Nkanu East Local Government Area.
Addressing the communities, Ogbodo urged residents to sustain their support for President Tinubu, Governor Mbah and the APC, arguing that continuity in leadership across the federal, state and local government levels would strengthen development, peace and prosperity.
The Nkanu West Council Chairman praised President Tinubu’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying the Federal Government’s policies were laying a foundation for national development. He added that Governor Mbah was complementing those efforts through extensive infrastructure and development initiatives across Enugu State.
Ogbodo described Governor Mbah as a peace-loving leader, bridge-builder and unifier whose administration, he said, was extending development projects to communities across the state without discrimination. He assured the people that the governor remained committed to ensuring that the dividends of democracy reached the grassroots.
The APC mobilisation received a major boost as community leaders and stakeholders praised the Mbah administration and reaffirmed their commitment to the APC. Former Nkanu East Deputy Chairman, Hon. Uche Ogbu, recalled an earlier visit by Ogbodo and said commitments made to the area concerning development under the Mbah administration had not only been fulfilled but exceeded the expectations of the people.

The President-General of Isigwe Ugbawka Autonomous Community, Ozo Chidiebere Ogbodo, commended Governor Mbah for ongoing development across Enugu State, while appealing for the construction of a bridge linking the community to Akpugo to improve transportation and facilitate the movement of agricultural produce to markets.
The visit also drew strong expressions of support from key political and community stakeholders, who commended the development trajectory of the Mbah administration and pledged to deepen grassroots support for the APC. The gathering, which was facilitated in part by the behind-the-scenes mobilisation and coordination of former Nkanu East Deputy Chairman, Hon. Angela Ngene, reflected the growing political convergence around the party in the area. Senator Kelvin Chizoba Chukwu’s presence further reinforced the significance of the engagement, as leaders and residents expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to sustain development and strengthen representation at the federal, state and grassroots levels.
Also taking centre stage during the APC mobilisation visit, Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe appealed to the people of Ugbawka to give the APC their full support, stressing the need for unity and stronger political cooperation as the party consolidates its grassroots presence in Nkanu East and across Enugu State.
Senator Kelvin Chizoba Chukwu, meanwhile, assured the communities that the dividends of democracy would continue to reach the grassroots and reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives aimed at improving development and the welfare of the people.
The APC mobilisation engagement ended with prayers and blessings from Ndi Ozo, as political leaders and community stakeholders renewed their support for President Tinubu, Governor Mbah and the APC, while Ogbodo and Ogbuekwe used the visit to reinforce the party’s growing grassroots mobilisation in Nkanu East and Nkanu West.
