AKPUGO, NIGERIA — Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, has reaffirmed his support for the administration of Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, while urging All Progressives Congress (APC) members to maintain unity and active grassroots engagement.

Speaking on Saturday during an APC ward meeting at Central School, Ndiagu Obuno in Akpugo II Ward, Chairman Ogbodo emphasized the importance of aligning with Governor Mbah’s state development initiatives to drive local growth, peace, and economic stability.
To encourage party loyalty and support small-scale enterprise, Chairman Ogbodo—alongside the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Implementation, Architect Uche Nwatu—sponsored an empowerment lottery for attendees.
Eight ward members selected through the draw received direct cash grants to assist their personal businesses and livelihoods. Chairman Ogbodo stated that the initiative aims to provide tangible economic relief while rewarding active political participation at the ward level.

In response to an appeal presented by the Ndiagu Obuno Akpugo women during their August meeting, Chairman Ogbodo pledged to completely re-roof the damaged main classroom block, complete door replacements and addition of new classroom desks at Central School, Ndiagu Obuno.
Chairman Ogbodo assured community leaders that his administration prioritizes safe, conducive learning environments for children and will continue partnering with local stakeholders to execute high-impact interventions across Nkanu West.
