Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu has been celebrated by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide on her 58th birthday, with the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation praising her distinguished diplomatic career and outstanding service to Nigeria.
ENUGU, Nigeria — Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on her 58th birthday, commending her distinguished career and contributions to Nigeria’s diplomacy and national development.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation conveyed its goodwill in a birthday message signed by its Global Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, on Wednesday in Enugu.
Chukwu described the minister as an accomplished lawyer, diplomat and public servant whose commitment to Nigeria has remained exemplary throughout her career.
He noted that before her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odumegwu-Ojukwu served the country in various capacities, including as an ambassador, earning recognition for her leadership, patriotism and dedication to public service.
The Ohanaeze spokesperson also highlighted her achievements in pageantry, recalling her emergence as Miss Nigeria, Miss Africa and Miss Intercontinental, saying her journey continues to inspire Ndigbo, Nigerian women and young people.
According to him, the minister has consistently promoted Nigeria’s interests on the global stage through dedicated and exemplary diplomatic service.
“Her remarkable journey remains a source of pride and inspiration to Ndigbo, Nigerian women and the younger generation,” Chukwu said.
He wished the minister many more years of good health, divine grace, fulfilment and greater accomplishments as she continues to advance the ideals of integrity, diplomacy and national development.
Chukwu also expressed confidence that Odumegwu-Ojukwu would continue to make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s foreign policy and international relations.
He quoted the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Sen. Azuta Mbata, as describing the minister as a worthy ambassador of the Igbo nation.
“She embodies the resilience, dignity, brilliance and excellence for which the Igbo nation is renowned.
“As she celebrates her 58th birthday, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide rejoices with her and prays that Almighty God will continue to grant her wisdom, sound health and greater strength to serve Nigeria and humanity with distinction,” Mbata said.
