President Bola Tinubu has appointed Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas as Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency, while naming Patrick Obahiagbon and reappointing Chukwuma Umeoji as executive directors of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company.
ABUJA – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas as the new Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), alongside the appointment of Patrick Obahiagbon and the reappointment of Chukwuma Umeoji as executive directors of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
The appointments take immediate effect.
Namdas succeeds Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George, who resigned from the agency to pursue an elective political position in his home state.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Namdas represented the Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency of Adamawa State and served as spokesperson of the 8th House of Representatives.
He also contested in the recently concluded governorship primary election in Adamawa State.
Before his legislative career, Namdas built a career in journalism and public relations and served as Chief Press Secretary to former Adamawa State Governor Boni Haruna.
In a separate appointment, President Tinubu named former lawmaker Patrick Obahiagbon as Executive Director, Strategy and Commercial, of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company.
Obahiagbon replaces Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who resigned from the position to pursue his political ambition in his home state.
Obahiagbon previously served in both the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly.
The President also reappointed Mr. Chukwuma Umeoji as Executive Director, Corporate Services, of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company.
Umeoji, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented Aguata Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the 9th National Assembly, returns to the position after resigning to pursue his political ambition in his state.
The latest appointments form part of the Tinubu administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership across key federal agencies and government-owned institutions.
All the appointments take effect immediately.
