Officially declared the Enugu State APC gubernatorial candidate for 2027, Governor Peter Mbah states that his administration has completely shattered the notion that campaign promises matter more than actual performance.

Governor Peter Mbah has saluted the All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful for his resounding election as the party’s gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 general election, highlighting the sweeping developmental progress made under his stewardship and promising even greater milestones for the state.
Delivering an inspiring acceptance speech at the International Conference Centre in Enugu on Friday, the Governor spoke shortly after the Hon. Danmalikin Hausa-led Enugu State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee concluded the official collation of results.
The committee formally declared Mbah the winner following a massive democratic exercise that saw 397,370 accredited party members participating across the state’s 260 political wards on Thursday.
Accepting the nomination with humility, Mbah expressed deep satisfaction that his administration has successfully disproved the old political notion that campaign promises cannot be kept, declaring that his “Tomorrow Is Here” governance philosophy has officially transitioned from an abstract expression into a visible, daily reality for the citizens.

Reviewing his administration’s tracking record, the Governor emphasized that every single naira spent has been meticulously utilized to deliver a high return on investment to the people of Enugu, prioritizing tangible performance over mere political rhetoric.
He reeled out several landmark achievements across key sectors, noting that the state’s advanced Command and Control Centre has effectively crushed insecurity and sit-at-home apprehensions, thereby restoring public confidence.
In education and health, the administration has rolled out ward-based Smart Green Schools to offer fit-for-purpose learning alongside functional Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres across all 260 wards.
Mbah also highlighted a major agricultural and industrial revival, pointing to the resuscitation of the long-abandoned Songhai Heneke Farm in Ezeagu, the transformation of United Palm Products Limited into a job-creating venture, and the establishment of the $20 million Enugu Haier digital appliance factory.
Furthermore, he celebrated the launch of Enugu Air to boost youth aviation jobs and the construction of over 1,500 kilometers of roads coupled with five world-class transport terminals and CNG buses.
Attributing part of these subnational successes to President Bola Tinubu’s bold economic policies, which unlocked more development resources for states, Mbah’s leadership model was highly praised by the primary panel Chairman, Hon. Hausa, who commended Enugu APC as a shining beacon of internal democracy, consensus-building, and discipline.
