Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says his presidential ambition on the ADC platform represents a national movement aimed at restoring prosperity and unity in Nigeria.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described his presidential ambition on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a national movement rather than a personal political pursuit.
In a statement shared via his verified X handle on Thursday in Abuja, following the submission of his nomination and expression of interest forms, Atiku said his bid represents a broader mission to restore prosperity and stability to the country.
According to him, the development marks a decisive step in what he described as a renewed effort to rebuild Nigeria’s economic and social foundations.
“The march to restore prosperity and better days to our beloved nation took a firm and decisive step forward today,” he said.
Atiku added that his ambition goes beyond electoral politics, stressing that it is driven by a collective desire for national renewal.
“This is more than a political journey; it is a national movement rooted in hope, renewal and the collective resolve to save Nigeria from despair,” he stated.
He called on Nigerians across all regions, religions and backgrounds to support what he described as a shared mission for national progress.
“I call on all Nigerians, regardless of region, faith or background, to join us in this noble cause,” he said.
The former vice president further pledged that, if successful, his movement would work toward restoring national prosperity and improving living conditions across the country.
