MAKURDI – The Benue State Government has officially confirmed the death of the state’s Head of Service, Dr. Agbogbo Ode. The announcement was made on Saturday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Serumun Aber, following his passing in the early hours of the day.
According to the statement released in Makurdi, Dr. Ode passed away on May 2, 2026, after a brief illness. The news has sent shockwaves through the state’s administrative circles, as he was a central figure in the ongoing civil service reforms.
