ADC National Chairman David Mark has called for unity and peaceful coexistence during Easter, assuring Nigerians that the party remains strong and committed to democratic ideals ahead of 2027.

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Sen. David Mark, has called on Nigerians to embrace religious harmony, peace and national unity as Christians celebrate Easter.

Mark made the call in a goodwill message issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Paul Mumeh, in Kano.

He described Easter as a season symbolising sacrifice, hope, renewal and the triumph of light over darkness, urging citizens to reflect on the virtues of love, selflessness and forgiveness.

The former Senate President stressed the need for Nigerians, regardless of religious, ethnic or political affiliations, to promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect, noting that the country’s diversity should be a source of strength rather than division.

He also appealed to citizens to remain calm and law-abiding, emphasising the importance of sustaining peace and stability nationwide.

Reassuring Nigerians about the state of his party, Mark said the ADC remains strong, united and unshaken despite recent challenges.

According to him, the temporary setbacks have reinforced the party’s resolve and strengthened its commitment to democratic ideals and good governance.

“ADC remains focused and unwavering in its mission to enthrone democratic ethos, uphold the rule of law and provide purposeful leadership that addresses the needs and aspirations of Nigerians,” he said.

Mark expressed confidence in the future of the party and affirmed his commitment to leading the ADC to victory in the 2027 general elections.

He also expressed optimism that the Easter celebration would inspire renewed faith and hope for a better Nigeria, wishing Christians a peaceful and joyful celebration.
