Peter Obi has congratulated Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, urging Nigerians to sustain the values of Ramadan and promote unity, peace and compassion.

Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to sustain the virtues learned during Ramadan.

In a message shared via his official X handle, Obi praised the Muslim faithful for successfully completing the 30-day fast, describing the period as one marked by faith, discipline, and selflessness.

He noted that the values demonstrated during Ramadan – including compassion, humility, patience, and charity – should continue to guide individuals and communities beyond the fasting period.

Obi urged Nigerians to draw strength from the spiritual lessons of Ramadan, as well as other religious observances like Lent, to foster unity and confront the country’s challenges collectively.

He called on citizens to promote peace, reject division, and support vulnerable members of society.

The former presidential candidate also offered prayers for national peace, security, and progress, expressing hope that the celebration would bring renewed joy and blessings to Muslim families.

He emphasised the importance of building bridges of understanding and unity across religious and ethnic lines in Nigeria.
