The Police Command in Gombe State has confirmed the killing of a 15 year-old girl, identified as Aisha, in Kwami community of the state.
The confirmation followed the circulation of a viral video showing the girl’s body discovered in a hole near Wakili and Tuguji villages in Kwami Local Government Area.

“The report was made by her father around 12 noon on Tuesday,” Abdullahi said.
“She was sent to buy soya beans on Monday evening and did not return. Unfortunately, her lifeless body was later discovered in a bush on the outskirts of the village,” he added.
The Police spokesman said detectives visited the scene, documented evidence, and observed clear signs that the victim had been attacked.
He confirmed that the body was evacuated to a hospital for medical examination, while investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest those behind the crime.
