Gov. Mbah Appoints New Commissioners, Board Chairmen in Enugu

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has approved the appointment of two new commissioners alongside several board chairmen, executive secretaries and senior officials across key government agencies in the state.
The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Enugu by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.
According to Onyia, the newly appointed Commissioners-Designate are Mr Osinachi Nnajieze and Dr Charles Egumgbe.
Other appointments include Kenechukwu Nnamani as Managing Director of the Enugu State Investment Development Authority (ENSIDA), James Mbah as Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loans Board, and Dr Eric Oluedo as Executive Secretary of the Local Government Staff Pensions Board.
Also appointed are Mrs Sylvia Onwubuemeli as Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Library Board and Monday Ani as State Coordinator of the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).
Onyia further announced that Gov. Mbah approved the reconstitution of the Governing Board of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB). Members of the board include Afam Nnaji, Dr Uche Eze, Dr Oge Uka, Mrs Rita Chimaobi Ihemeje representing Enugu West Senatorial District, and Mrs Justina Ugwu representing Enugu North Senatorial District.
Other board members are Dr Nnenna Ogbonna representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Theophilus Nweke representing the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Mrs Juliet Ani representing the State Women Group, with Dr Luke Ohabuenyi Ezema as Secretary.
The SSG also disclosed that Dr Nneka Onyebuchi and Patrick Onwe were appointed members of the Post-Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB).
Additional appointments include Nwabueze Ugwu as Chairman of the Governing Council, Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET); Chief Nwabueze Nnamani as Board Chairman of the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (ESHDC); Richard Onaga as Managing Director of the Enugu State Waste Management Agency (ESWAMA); and Bob Itanyi as Managing Director of the Enugu State Transport Company (ENTRACO).
Others are Richard Agu as Board Chairman of Enugu Air; Uchenna Igwesi as Board Chairman of the New Enugu Smart City Development Authority; Chika Igwesi as Chairman of the Enugu State Road Maintenance and Development Agency; and Chidera Odo as Chairman of the Enugu State Roads Fund.
Also appointed are Manfred Nzekwe as Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Roads Fund, Dr John Egbo as Managing Director of the Enugu East Zone Transport Terminals, Prince Emeka Mamah as Managing Director of the Enugu North Zone Transport Terminals, and Rev. Chimaobi Aninwene as a member of the Enugu State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Onyia said the names of the Commissioners-Designate had been forwarded to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation, while all other appointments take immediate effect.
