Grassroots Mobilization took center stage in Nkanu West Local Government Area as Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, Executive Chairman of the council, partnered with the Enugu State Unity Forum, Enugu East Zone, to inaugurate ward executives across the 14 wards of the LGA. The event, held at the council headquarters, underscored a renewed commitment to unity and political participation at the community level.

During the inauguration, the Zonal Coordinator of the Forum, Dr. Emeka Nwatu, emphasized the importance of Grassroots Mobilization in sustaining good governance and community development. He reaffirmed the Forum’s dedication to supporting the re-election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing him as a transformational leader whose achievements continue to inspire confidence across Enugu State.

Dr. Nwatu commended Hon. Ogbodo for his visionary approach to leadership and his unwavering support for Grassroots Mobilization in Nkanu West. He described the chairman as a “silent achiever” whose visible developmental strides mirror Governor Mbah’s excellence and people-centered governance.

In his remarks, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo reiterated his belief that effective Grassroots Mobilization remains the foundation of progress and unity in governance. He expressed confidence that Governor Mbah’s performance will “campaign for itself,” urging the newly inaugurated executives to see their appointments as a call to service and to remain committed to mobilizing the people until victory is achieved.

Also speaking, the Coordinator of the Enugu State Unity Forum, Nkanu West Chapter, Sir Ikechukwu Okeke, thanked Hon. Ogbodo for his hospitality, humility, and inclusive leadership. He noted that the chairman’s open-door policy has strengthened Grassroots Mobilization and enhanced collaboration across wards in Nkanu West.
