Arc. Musa Gude, the member representing Uke/Karshi Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has empowered five ward chairmen of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in his constituency with brand-new motorcycles. The event took place on Saturday at the palace of the Emir of Karshi in Karu Local Government Area.
Gude, who also serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Nasarawa Urban Development Agency (NUDA), said the empowerment initiative was part of his continuous effort to uplift his constituents and enhance their living standards.
The lawmaker highlighted several of his achievements in education, health, agriculture, employment, and infrastructure development. According to him, he has paid WAEC fees for students, drilled boreholes, provided electricity transformers, and extended financial assistance to many residents of his constituency.
“I urge the beneficiaries not to sell the motorcycles but to use them to improve their lives and ease their movements,” Gude advised.
He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering effective and people-focused representation in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
During the occasion, Gude also announced his resignation from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and formally submitted his resignation letter to Mr. Isyaku Saidu Gude, the SDP Chairman of Karshi Ward One. He explained that his decision followed extensive consultations with his family, political associates, friends, and supporters.
In their remarks, Mr. Abdulmalik Abubakar, Speaker of the Karu Local Government Legislative Council, and Mr. Bala Bako, SDP Chairman of Karu LGA, commended Gude for his developmental strides and people-oriented programmes.
Similarly, Mr. Abdul Umar, Director-General of the Gude Campaign Organisation for the 2023 general elections, praised the lawmaker’s performance, describing him as “the best representative Uke/Karshi constituency has ever produced.”
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Musa Mohammed, SDP Chairman of Uke Ward, expressed gratitude to Gude for the empowerment gesture and pledged that the motorcycles would be used for the purpose they were given. GMTNewsng
