In a passionate display of support for democracy, hundreds of women clad in red stormed the streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Wednesday morning, demanding the immediate reinstatement of suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Chanting “Bring Back Sim” in a united voice, the women brought traffic to a standstill as they occupied major roads, urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to uphold democratic values by lifting the emergency rule currently in place in the state.

Their peaceful protest adds to growing calls for constitutional order and civilian leadership to prevail in Rivers.
