…Flags off construction of more signature projects
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is aggressively pursuing his Government’s policy on provision of adequate infrastructure for the people of the State.
The latest in this regard is the flagged off today of the construction of the dualisation of the Azikiwe-Illuoabuchi road in Port Harcourt.

Information monitored by GMTNews, quotes Governor Wike as saying, “Today His Excellency, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Ondo State, as our special guest flagged off the construction of the dualisation of the Azikiwe-Illuoabuchi road in the Dioubu area of Port Harcourt.”
The Governor who stated that the is being handled by Julius Berger has a completion period of six months. Furthermore, he said the road duaization which adds to the quantum of projects for urban renewal of Diobu is coming at a time the government had reconstructed 42 roads which put together, add up to a total length of 22.6 kilometers in Diobu alone.

“The project which Julius Berger Nigeria is constructing has a completion time of six months. The company has been paid 80% of the contract sum as we plan to complete it before the end of my term in office.
“This dual carriage way would be the culminating input of our urban renewal program in Diobu as we had previously reconstructed 42 roads with a culminative length of 22.5kms in Diobu,” he said.
