…Assures to end one party dominance in Enugu State
Immediate past Commissioner for Environment in Enugu State, Hon Chijioke Edeoga has been ratified as the authentic governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the state. This puts to rest the rumour that Captain Everest Nnaji was the party’s governorship candidate.
This followed the withdrawal from the contest by the former holder of the governorship ticket, Barr Casmir Agbo.
Addressing leadership of the party and delegates to the primary election in an acceptance speech, Hon Chijioke Edeoga thanked them for reposing confidence in him by electing him to fly the party’s flag in next year’s governorship election in Enugu state.

The Governorship candidate who assured the party faithful of revitalizing membership of the party in all the 260 electoral wards as he hoped to tour the wards.
“I intend to tour all the Wards in the state. I am resolved to firmly put Labour Party in place inall the Wards in Enugu State. We shall takeover Enugu state”, he asserted.
Prince Kennedy Chinozie
Earlier while declaring Edeoga winner of the primary election, excited Prince Kennedy Chinozie, Deputy National Secretary of Labour Party and Chairman of Enugu State Governorship Primary Electoral Committee, congratulated him for emerging victorious. He applauded the orderly conduct of the delegates and expressed the hope that with Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, Labour Party would break the jinx of one party stranglehold on Enugu State since 1999.

In a brief chat with GMTNews, the state Chairman of the party, Barr Casmir Agbo expressed delight over the smooth conduct of the primary election and re-echoed the resolve of the Party under his leadership to win the governorship and other elective positions in the state come 2023.
INEC observer team to the primary election was led by Uche Ginika Nwankwo.
The primary election which held at Top 10 Hotel, Golf Estate, Enugu had delegates from across the state. GMTNews
