Enugu, Nigeria. 26th Oct, 2025; Startup Innovations Enugu took center stage as emerging founders showcased cutting-edge solutions to investors and business leaders at the recent founders’ forum. The event celebrated innovation and entrepreneurship, uniting startups across real estate, clean mobility, education, finance, and water technology under one vision – transforming ideas into impact.

From real estate transparency to electric vehicle conversions, digital skill empowerment for children, and smarter budgeting platforms, Startup Innovations Enugu reflected the city’s growing status as a hub for technology-driven solutions.

Arellow Homes: Redefining Transparency in Real Estate

At Startup Innovations Enugu, Andrew Chidiebere, the founder of Arellow Homes unveiled a real estate platform tackling hidden fees, poor accessibility, and trust issues in property transactions.

“We have removed hidden fees on land purchases,” he said. Arellow enables realtors and developers to list verified properties for free, directly connecting them with buyers while ensuring transparency.

The diaspora-friendly platform features an API that lets users verify property locations. With over 500 verified listings, Arellow plans to introduce a mortgage system through partnerships with banks. Seeking ₦300 million in investment, the founder explained that most funds would be used for marketing and AI-driven development.

Revive Earth Ltd: Powering Clean Mobility

Another highlight of Startup Innovations Enugu was Revive Earth Ltd, founded by Chukwuemeka Eze, who is leading Nigeria’s electric vehicle revolution. The company converts petrol vehicles into electric models, helping commercial drivers save on fuel and maintenance.

Eze shared that converted drivers now earn ₦8,000–₦10,000 daily, free from fuel costs. With over 40 vehicles already converted across Enugu, Anambra, and Benin, Revive Earth is seeking ₦125 million in financing to scale up its EV tricycle fleet to 1,000 units within a year.

VOH Academy: Training the Next Generation of Digital Creators

In another powerful pitch at Startup Innovations Enugu, VOH Academy founder Mrs. Nkiruka Obilor shared her mission to bridge the digital skills gap among children.

“The problem now is that our children consume media instead of creating it,” she said. VOH Academy trains children in online marketing, content creation, and brand management. A recent boot camp attracted over 50 students; some now run YouTube channels or manage their parents’ online stores.

Mrs. Obilor plans to expand to 500 digital courses in the next 12 months and is seeking investor partnerships to scale the academy’s reach.

Urban Springs: Digitising Water Supply in Enugu

One of the most discussed Startup Innovations Enugu presentations came from Urban Springs, a company addressing the city’s unreliable water supply.

“Many people in Enugu can’t trust their water sources,” said founder Emmanuel. Urban Springs has digitised over 10 million gallons of water through a traceable system linking municipal and private suppliers. Each tanker carries a QR code that allows users to verify the water’s source in real time.

During a lively Q&A, he explained: “All tanker drivers source water only from verified providers like the Enugu State Water Corporation or 9th Mile. Once it’s collected, it’s recorded digitally for public verification.”

Urban Springs partners with the Enugu State Water Corporation, borehole owners, and local unions, building a trusted ecosystem that ensures safety, efficiency, and accountability.

Linia Finance: Redefining Budgeting and Financial Inclusion

Another major highlight of Startup Innovations Enugu was Linia finance, founded by Bassey Asuquo, a mobile budgeting app offering multi-wallet management from a single debit card. The founder emphasized that the platform can save Nigerians over ₦30,000 yearly in bank charges.

“For individuals, Linia means seamless budgeting. For couples, it’s a joint mobile account. For merchants, it’s cooperative financial management,” he said.

Targeting 55 million middle-income earners with ₦49 trillion in spending power, Linia projects ₦40 million monthly from a one-percent market share. Unlike other fintechs focused on peer-to-peer payments, Linia’s edge lies in automated budgeting and expense tracking.

The founder unveiled an incentivized marketing plan where users earn 10% of transaction fees from referrals, a community-driven model for rapid adoption.

One-on-One Sessions: Policy Meets Innovation

During the exclusive VIP sessions at Startup Innovations Enugu, Mr. Emmanuel Nnamani, Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service (ESIRS), lauded the forum as a bridge between innovation and governance.

He stressed that “technology is the driver of development,” citing its applications in smart schools, healthcare billing, water management, and agriculture.

Addressing taxation concerns, Nnamani said, “Tax is not a burden; it is a contribution. Every economy develops through contribution.” He also talked about the introduction of the Residency Card by next year. He urged founders to register for their Tax Identification Numbers at http://www.irs.en.gov.ng and to view taxation as a civic duty that fuels public progress.

Also speaking, Dr. Ifedi Okwenna, Director of the South East Business Investment Summit (SEBIS), discussed the region’s economic transformation and announced plans to launch SEBIS Investment Ltd, an arm dedicated to financing local startups. He described the event as “a glimpse into the future of business and technology in the South East.”

Startup Innovations Enugu concluded with optimism and excitement. From Arellow’s real estate transparency, Revive Earth’s clean mobility, VOH Academy’s digital education, Urban Springs’ water digitization, to Linia’s financial inclusion, the forum underscored the depth of Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.

Government officials, investors, and founders agreed that technology, collaboration, and accountability are the key drivers of sustainable development. As discussions continued into the night, one sentiment echoed through the room, Enugu’s startups are not just building apps; they’re building the future.
