ABAKALIKI – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the appointment of Corps Commander Anthony Ozoemena Ogbodo as the new Sector Commander for RS9.2 Ebonyi State Command. CC Ogbodo officially assumed duty on Friday, taking over from CC Henry N. Igwe, who has been redeployed to the Corps Headquarters in Abuja. The handing-over ceremony marked a new chapter in the management of road safety and traffic regulations across Ebonyi State.
In his inaugural address to officers and men of the command, CC Ogbodo expressed profound gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve in his new capacity. He charged FRSC personnel in Ebonyi State to uphold the highest standards of professionalism by adhering strictly to the Corps’ code of conduct. “We must be fair and firm to road users, and always remember that our core mandate is to ensure road safety, traffic management, and the free flow of vehicles across the state,” he said.
Addressing road users, the new sector commander appealed for strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations, warning that disregard for safety norms often leads to preventable tragedies. “It is the person who returns home safely that is welcomed by his family. Let us all make safety a culture on our roads,” Ogbodo urged.
