Enugu, Nigeria – Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) has donated four vehicles to the Enugu State Security Trust Fund, commending Governor Peter Mbah’s administration for enhancing security and fostering a business-friendly environment.

The Chairman and CEO of Innoson, Innocent Chukwuma, made the donation on Wednesday at the Government House, Enugu, following a recent fundraising dinner where the Trust Fund secured over N3 billion in physical and online contributions.

Chukwuma lauded the government’s huge investments in security, emphasizing that manufacturers in the state were now happy and eager to contribute to the administration’s development efforts.

“I came to support the Security Trust Fund, as the Governor is doing wonderfully well in Enugu State. And when I saw all he is doing, I was marvelled at the way he is working everywhere. Manufacturers here are now happy. Even the areas that we could not enter during the rainy season, today we can enter and work anywhere.

“Manufacturers have seen the difference. This is why I felt that I should come and support the Security Trust Fund, so that everywhere will be more secure and everyone will be happy. We, the industry owners in Enugu State, are now happy from the development we are seeing.

“He has also promised a lot of things like making gas available for manufacturers because of the situation of electricity.

“So, I brought these vehicles so that they can help him in what he is doing in the area of security in Enugu State,” he said.

Expressing appreciation for the gesture, Governor Peter Mbah reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making Enugu a top investment destination.

“We feel very excited as a government, and this is what we have always talked about – partnership that works. And this could only happen because Innoson is a core stakeholder in Enugu State, and he sees the value of investing and doing business in Enugu.

“So, we appreciate him greatly for donating to the State Security Trust Fund, providing two pick-up vehicles and two crossover vehicles. That essentially enhances our capacity to fight crime and ensure that the investing community and investors are safe and secure in Enugu State.

“We are immensely thankful for your support, and we are also committing to putting these vehicles to good use. We will continue to provide a safe and secure environment for the people of Enugu State,” Mbah stated.

The donation reinforces the growing public-private partnership aimed at strengthening security and fostering economic growth in Enugu State. GMTNewsng
