Enugu Administrative Panel not inline with Terms & Conditions set by the National Economic Council…

Uncertainty seems to loom over the activities of the Enugu EndSARS Panel which is yet to conclude its assignment almost one year after it was setup and inaugurated. This leaves more questions than answers to agitate the minds of many, particularly Civil Society Organizations and the Youth. Enugu EndSARS Panel will mark one year of its inauguration on October 21, 2021.

Feelers from the panel indicate that all may not be well after all as its activities are said to be shrouded in secrecy, and not all members are aware of goings on there.

EndSARS was an expression by the youth across the country, of displeasure over extra judicial killings and police brutality.

The CSOs and Youth are still demanding for opportunity for hearing and fair hearing for all victims, justice for all victims, and prosecution of perpetrators of extra judicial killings and brutality.

It will be recalled that the Enugu Administrative Panel, which had submitted its report, also an aftermath of the 2020 EndSARS did not follow the guidelines set for its formation as stipulated by the National Economic Council, NEC.
