Nkanu West Local Government Chairman John Chukwuma Ogbodo describes Governor Peter Mbah’s emergence as a consensus candidate as a testament to his visionary leadership in Enugu State.

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, has warmly congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his successful emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the slated 2027 governorship election following the party’s peaceful primaries held on Thursday.

In a glowing congratulatory message, Hon. Ogbodo enthusiastically described the Governor’s emergence as a direct, unyielding reflection of the absolute confidence that the populace reposes in his unique leadership style and rapid developmental strides across Enugu State.

The council boss noted that the current administration has completely transformed key sectors of the state through what he proudly termed intentional, highly visionary, and innovative governance, explaining that Mbah’s overwhelming political victory was thoroughly well-deserved considering his immense footprints across infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, aviation, technology, and agriculture.

Extolling the Governor’s unprecedented achievements, the council chairman argued that a leader who has touched virtually every sector through massive developments deserves not just a second executive tenure, but even a third, characterizing Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as a rare enigma of leadership whose administrative machinery has completely rewritten the history of public governance in Enugu State.

Hon. Ogbodo highlighted several landmark projects initiated by the Mbah administration to back his claims, explicitly pointing to the successful revamping of the long-dormant Nigergas company, the comprehensive reconstruction of the iconic Hotel Presidential, the massive construction of more than 1,022 strategic roads across the state, and the ongoing establishment of 260 state-of-the-art Smart Schools across the 260 political wards of Enugu State.

He further listed the successful completion of 260 Type-2 Primary Health Centres, the steady operational growth of Enugu Air, the revitalization of the International Conference Centre, ongoing farm estate initiatives, and the near completion of the proposed International Hospital – projected to become one of Africa’s largest medical facilities – as undeniable proof of the Governor’s commitment to modernization, adding that the administration has effectively restored public hope and confidence through its courage, competence, and uncommon passion for regional progress.
