A former Kano State Commissioner for Water Resources, Umar Doguwa, has returned his official vehicle to the state government following his resignation from the State Executive Council.

Doguwa, who recently emerged as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, handed over the vehicle to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar Faruk.

Doguwa stepped down from his position in the cabinet in order to assume his new role as APC chairman in Kano State.

While returning the vehicle, he explained that it had been provided to facilitate his official duties as commissioner.

The former commissioner stated that the vehicle remained in good working condition and expressed gratitude to the state government for the opportunity to serve.

He also thanked Governor Abba Yusuf for giving him the chance to contribute to the administration.

According to Doguwa, his time in public service provided valuable experience, and he expressed his commitment to continue serving in different capacities.

Receiving the vehicle, the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruk, inspected it and commended Doguwa for demonstrating integrity and responsibility by returning government property after leaving office.

Faruk described the move as a strong example of accountability in public service.

On behalf of the Kano State Government, the SSG also appreciated Doguwa for his contributions while serving as Commissioner for Water Resources and wished him success in his new role.
