Ukraine said on Tuesday that its forces carried out overnight strikes on major oil and military facilities in southern Russia.

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the attack targeted oil loading infrastructure at the Sheskharis terminal and a naval base in the port city of Novorossiysk.

Officials said oil loading arms at the Sheskharis facility were damaged, along with an S-400 air defence system deployed in the area. A large fire was reported following the strike.

The full scale of the destruction has yet to be independently verified, and Russian authorities had not immediately released a detailed assessment.

The Sheskharis terminal is regarded as one of the largest oil and petroleum product transshipment facilities in southern Russia, serving as a key export hub.

The latest strike underscores continued hostilities between Kyiv and Moscow, with both sides targeting strategic infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict.
