The G17 political group has inaugurated its Nkanu West chapter, with members pledging to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand the organisation’s activities across the local government area ahead of future elections.

The inauguration ceremony of G17 Nkanu West, held at Nkanu West Local Government Headquarters Agbani, was hosted by the Executive Chairman of the council, Mr. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, and attracted party members, community leaders and stakeholders from the area’s 14 political wards.

Speaking at the event, Ogbodo thanked the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for what he described as ongoing development projects across the state. According to him, the projects reflect the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and improved public service delivery.

The council chairman urged members of the newly inaugurated chapter to remain united and committed to the objectives of G17. He said the group should continue to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and support the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of future elections.

Ogbodo also pledged to work closely with members of the organisation to deepen the party’s structure across Nkanu West and encourage greater participation at the grassroots.

In his remarks, the Director-General of G17, Chinedu Mba, called on members to remain focused on the aims and objectives of the organisation, describing Ogbodo as “one month, one project,” which he said reflected the chairman’s approach to project implementation and local governance.

Also speaking, the Coordinator of G17 Nkanu West, Dr. Chinedu Egbo, reiterated his commitment to advancing the group’s objectives in the local government area. He urged members to remain united, disciplined and dedicated to strengthening the organisation while supporting the APC’s activities ahead of future elections.

The G17 Nkanu West inauguration concluded with members reaffirming their commitment to expanding G17’s presence across Nkanu West through grassroots engagement and coordinated political participation.
