Tributes pour in for Chief Godfrey Nwafor, Ochiliozuo I of Affa, as Engr. Greg Nnaji describes him as a man of integrity, faith, and community service following his passing in Enugu State.

The passing of Chief Godfrey Nwafor, popularly known as Ochiliozuo I of Affa in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, has continued to attract tributes from family members, associates, and community stakeholders who describe him as a man of integrity, peace, and quiet influence.

In a condolence message dated 8 June 2026, Engr. (Sir) Greg Nnaji, State Project Coordinator, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project – State Unit (RAAMP-SU), expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the respected community leader.

“It is with profound sorrow, yet with gratitude to Almighty God for a life well spent, that my family and I received the news of the passing of Chief Godfrey Nwafor,” he stated.

He described the late Chief Nwafor as a highly respected elder statesman, a trusted friend, and a man whose life reflected humility, dignity, and unwavering integrity.

“Until his passing, Chief Godfrey Nwafor was a man of remarkable warmth, goodwill, and quiet strength,” he added.

A devoted Christian and prominent son of Affa, the late Chief was widely regarded for his commitment to community values, peacebuilding, and moral leadership. His life, according to the tribute, was anchored on service, compassion, and integrity.

Engr. Nnaji further noted that Chief Nwafor’s legacy would remain enduring, not only in Affa but across all who came into contact with him.

“He lived a purposeful life defined by service and compassion, touching many lives in ways that will remain unforgettable,” the message read.

He extended condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Affa community, praying for divine strength and comfort in their time of grief.

“May Almighty God grant his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and may his gentle soul continue to live in perfect peace.”
