The Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, has congratulated Enugu State Governor, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his third anniversary in office, praising his administration’s achievements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing his administration as transformative and development-driven.

Ogbodo, in a congratulatory message issued on behalf of his family, the leadership, and people of Nkanu West Local Government Area, commended Governor Mbah’s leadership style and policy direction, stating that the governor’s three years in office had ushered in far-reaching reforms across critical sectors of the state.

The council chairman said Governor Mbah’s governance philosophy and commitment to people-centred development had repositioned Enugu State as a model of sustainable growth, economic advancement, and peace.

According to him, communities in Nkanu West have been direct beneficiaries of the administration’s ward-based development agenda, particularly through investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Ogbodo specifically hailed the establishment of Smart Green Schools across political wards in the state, describing the initiative as a bold step toward securing the future of education in Enugu.

He noted that the integration of nursery, primary, and junior secondary education with digital learning tools, robotics laboratories, artificial intelligence, and smart farming facilities would equip children with globally competitive skills while guaranteeing access to free and quality basic education.

The chairman also applauded the construction and operationalisation of Model Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres across the state’s 260 political wards, saying the facilities had significantly improved access to healthcare services.

He observed that the digitised healthcare centres, supported by electronic health records and modern diagnostic systems, had helped eliminate geographical barriers to maternal and primary healthcare delivery.

Speaking further, Ogbodo praised the governor’s infrastructural drive, particularly the expansion and rehabilitation of road networks, which he said had improved connectivity between rural agrarian communities and urban economic centres.

According to him, the improved infrastructure had stimulated trade, enhanced mobility, and accelerated economic activities within Nkanu West and other parts of the state.

“As partners in progress at the grassroots, we are deeply inspired by Governor Mbah’s covenant with the future. His exceptional performance over the past three years continues to serve as a blueprint for delivering meaningful democracy dividends to our people,” Ogbodo stated.

The council chairman prayed for divine wisdom, good health, and renewed strength for the governor as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.

He congratulated Governor Mbah on the milestone and expressed confidence that his administration would record even greater achievements in the years ahead.
