President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday described the hitch-free conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries nationwide as a powerful, unmistakable demonstration of robust internal democracy within the ruling party.
President Tinubu shared his remarks shortly after directly participating in the party’s presidential primary election at Ikoyi-Obalende Ward L2 in Lagos State, proudly noting that the extensive exercise has significantly deepened the nation’s broader democratic processes.
The President, who arrived at the polling venue alongside his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was warmly received by a delegation of top-tier party stalwarts, including the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and the former Minister of Finance, Wale Edun.
